The Days Are Slipping Away

We are down to 6 regular school days in the classroom, but plenty left to do.

History:
This week and next week are dedicated to Battle Presentations. So far we've had 6 presentations, each very informative and well presented.

Next Monday we have a very special guest speaker coming in to share his WWII memorabilia. Mr. George Arthur has been sharing his collection with 7th graders at Cascade for the last three years and the kids always love him.

Next Thursday, the 23rd is our mystery field trip. If you are able to drive, please let us know as soon as possible. Right now I have Mr. Elkins down, but that's it! We need at least 5 more drivers. We will leave school at 9:30 and return by 2:00. It is a fun field trip for parents.

Literature:
This week we begin our final lit book of the year, Cyrano! This wonderful story captures everyone's hearts.

Riggs:
Over the next two weeks we will finish our final pages in our Riggs books and send them home! We have built a solid foundation and it will only get stronger next year!

Fort Stevens:
Thank you to everyone for volunteering to contribute food! We have all food covered now. I have the following parents down to chaperone:

Mrs. White
Mrs. Moutos
Mr. Elkins
Mrs. O'Reilly
Mrs. Marshall

The numbers look like we may have enough seats, so that is wonderful! Please let me know immediately if plans change.

I have the following people down as willing to let us use their tent:
Mr. Schumacher
Mrs. McFarland
Mrs. Olsen

The packing list for students is found on an earlier blog post! Now is a great time to take another look and make sure they have everything.
